  1. I was with Shopkick for just just over a year. Pre-Covid time. I wasted a lot of gas and time racking up points. It was VERY addictive! Sometimes did not work correctly because the stores on there have a sensor placed near the door for the visit.
Sometimes you have to walk all over to get it to “sense” the open app on the phone! Very time consuming!
Unfortunately, Shopkick holds ALL the cards! You can save up your points for bigger rewards…then they can accuse you of “cheating” the system and they block you, losing ALL of your points. Once blocked, they NEVER unblock, no matter how you plead with them that you did not “cheat.” The system thinks you are cheating because some items are close together (like at Best Buy) and you can scan fast!
Well, I got kicked off during Black Friday excursions to shop! That dreaded RED flag popped up while driving home an hour from where the most kicks were available!
Getting banned from Shopkick was hard after all the work I’ve done! It really bothers a person loyal to it every single day.
Doing some research on the company shortly after …they are based in Asia. They have “offices” in the USA. Actually, people sitting home looking to KICK you off from what they PERCEIVE (and they programs) as “cheating.”
They also partnered with inboxdollars and use same tactics!
Look on the web and see for yourself all the Shopkick complaints. They are listed on Better Business Bureau in CA with a non working phone number! The BBB doesn’t care, apparently!
Hope you have a better experience with Shopkick…but beware and don’t put your heart in it!
